Hello, world

Hello, world — initial commit, first blog post. I’m keeping it short: here’s what I plan to write about, and why.

Tech. I’ve spent more than fifteen years in the startup ecosystem and watched the industry go from Web 1.0 to the AI frontier we’re in now — it’s been a fun ride. It has left me with a lot of scattered thoughts about tech, from my PHP-sites-on-WordPress and Java days to now, building in AI on hyper-abstracted stacks. That evolution, and the continued crafting, has made me opinionated — I catch myself repeating the same horror stories and lessons to the next generation of builders.

Commerce. A lesser-known side of me. I’ve been lucky to see commerce from every angle: helping my parents run their grocery store (BJ Supermarket), importing and exporting goods, and now building Moselle — my passion — a planning platform for fast-growing consumer brands. Working alongside those brands has given me a clear vantage point on how shopping and consumer behavior are changing, and on the part tech plays in all of it.

Culture. I’m passionate about music, wine, and cinema — no more, no less. I’ve consumed an immense amount of all three. (No study on the risks of alcohol will deter me from great wine.) This blog is an outlet for those thoughts, too.

So that’s me in a nutshell. I’m excited to share more. ✌🏽
